Great job Senator Megan Dahle for getting this thru! The kids need this back!

I am excited to share the news that the budget bill passed shortly before the Legislature adjourned for the year today includes $1 million in state funding to assist the reconstruction of the Whiskeytown Environmental School, which was heavily damaged in the 2018 Carr Fire.

Whiskeytown Environmental School Community and the Shasta County Office of Education have been diligently raising funds around the community and working with the National Park Service to get infrastructure restored and cabins rebuilt so this treasure can serve future generations as it did those of the past. I hope this continues the fundraising momentum so kids can get back to camp soon.

AB 2207 is headed to the Governor’s desk! 🦌🌲

This bill requires CDFW to establish a regulated program allowing a hunter to transfer their hunting tag to their child.

For many of our rural families, hunting is more than a season—it’s a tradition passed from one generation to the next. AB 2207 gives parents another opportunity to share that experience with their kids while keeping the process regulated and responsible.

Proud to carry another common-sense bill that supports our rural way of life and keeps California’s hunting traditions alive for the next generation. 🇺🇸

We are sharing this because we want to make sure the veterans in our community see it and, most importantly, come out and be honored!

On October 21st at noon, there will be a special lunch celebrating the men and women who have served our country.

If you’re a veteran, please make plans to attend. And if you know a veteran, tag them, share this with them, and encourage them to come!

These men and women answered the call when our country needed them. Now it’s our turn to show up for them. 🇺🇸

Let’s fill the room with veterans and give them the honor and appreciation they so richly deserve!

🇺🇸 THINK YOUR VOTE DOESN’T MATTER? THINK AGAIN.

I hear it all the time:

“My one vote won’t make a difference.”

But here’s the thing…

Sometimes candidates win elections by just a few votes.

So if you stayed home in the past because you thought your vote didn’t matter, imagine if those few people that made the difference whether your candidate won or lost did the same thing.

YOUR VOTE MATTERS.

And so does your husband’s.
Your wife’s.
Your parents’.
Your kids’ if they’re old enough.
Your friends’.
Your neighbors’.

As Election Day gets closer, don’t just make sure you vote. Talk to the people around you and remind them to vote, too.

It really can come down to a handful of people deciding they were going to show up.

Don’t assume your vote doesn’t matter.
It does. 🇺🇸
