By participating in the training all the providers received a Doc Owens Ditch Kit

Members from the Spink County Ambulance, Wildcat Rescue, and Spink County Sheriff's Department traveled to Northwestern High School in Mellette to teach the “Choices, Chances, Decisions and Stop the Bleed” class to the Drivers Ed classroom.

This training is sponsored by SD EMS for Children to educate young drivers how the choices, chances, and decisions they make can affect them in the long term.

At the completion of the course each student received a Stop the Bleed kit!

The 2nd annual Lifejacket Give Away sponsored by the Spink County Ambulance is TODAY Tuesday May 19th from 10 am until 2 pm (or until we run out) at the EMS Center located at 805 East 1st Street in Redfield.

We have 120 lifejackets to be given away!

There are 3 sizes of lifejackets available:

Child Size for kids weighing between 30-50 pounds

Youth Size for kids weighing between 50-90 pounds

Adult Size for anyone 90 pounds and greater

Lifejackets are available on a first come first serve basis.

There is a maximum of 3 lifejackets per family.

Also available are coloring sheets, car seat tags by SD EMS for Children and Bike Helmet tags for a motorcycle or bicycle!

We look forward to seeing everyone there!

🚑🚑Happy EMS Week🚑🚑

A thank you is never enough when it comes to this crew and our responding agency.

These individuals take time away from their families day and night, weekends and holidays, rain or shine, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to answer the call.

No one knows much they sacrifice to be able to help in a time of need. They are there for members of our community during some of the worst days of their lives. They provide the care with professionalism, compassion and empathy.

If you see them make sure to thank them for their service!
