Showing up matters.

POAM Executive Board member and Business Agent Gregg Allgeier represented POAM at the October 21 grand opening of the Tunnel to Towers Detroit Veterans Village in Southfield, joining Tunnel to Towers Chairman and CEO Frank Siller for this important occasion.

Gregg is also a member of the Metro Detroit Pipes & Drums, who were present to play and help honor the opening.

The new Veterans Village represents a commitment to serving veterans who have sacrificed for our country by providing housing, supportive services and a community built around dignity and respect.

For more than 50 years, POAM has understood that service does not end when the shift is over. It means being present for law enforcement officers, first responders, veterans and their families—especially those who have sacrificed more and too often received less in return.

POAM remains committed to the principles and character on which our organization was founded: service, loyalty, respect and standing together when it matters most.

POAM is proud to be featured in Mike Rogers’ new commercial with a clear message: Michigan’s law enforcement professionals deserve leaders who will protect the protectors.

The commercial highlights the choice facing Michigan on police funding, early prisoner release and public safety. POAM President Jim Tignanelli and Board Member John Graver joined law enforcement officers from across Michigan to stand up for the men and women who put themselves in harm’s way every day.

POAM supports leaders who stand with law enforcement, strengthen public safety and understand what is at stake for Michigan communities. Period.
