🏆 1st Place at CFED 2026 Honoring a Legacy of Excellence in EMS 🚒
•
At this years , your Firefighter/Paramedics Craig Roach and Thomas Rivera proudly represented the Redlands Fire Department in the Patient Assessment Paramedic Competition, competing against 11 teams from across the state.
•
We are incredibly proud to share that Craig and Tommy earned 1st Place, bringing home the Mitch McKee Trophy, an honor that carries special meaning here in Redlands.
•
Mitch McKee, a longtime Redlands EMS Battalion Chief, was a pioneer in regional paramedicine whose passion for education and excellence helped shape generations of providers. His legacy lives on through the continued use of the PENMAN acronym, still taught in EMT and paramedic education today.
•
To have the Mitch McKee Trophy return home to the department Mitch helped shape is both humbling and deeply meaningful.
•
We’re also incredibly grateful to the outstanding paramedics and agencies who competed. Events like this help all of us sharpen our skills, learn from one another, and continue providing the highest level of care to our communities.
•
A special thank you to for investing in EMS education and bringing providers together, and to our educational partners at .ems.academy and for helping develop the exceptional paramedics serving our communities.
•
Craig and Tommy exemplify the professionalism, compassion, and clinical excellence we strive to provide every day in the City of Redlands.
•
Please join us in congratulating Firefighter/Paramedics Craig Roach and Thomas Rivera on an incredible accomplishment! 👏🚒❤️
