Today at the crack of dawn, the MODOT trucks started showing up. If I didn't lose count, there were 127 loads dumped in there. Pictured is the last load of hotmix being spread in The Pothole on KK.

Now seriously...
It's bittersweet. The hole is finally fixed, we won't hear trailers clattering over the thing, sounding like an accident just happened, but... *sniff* conversely... it IS gone, and I'm gonna miss it.

That's Stan Weber (second cousin) running the backhoe and Nathan Wiggans on the right there.

When I started this, I was just curious if through humor, the pothole would get fixed. I never once asked or called MODOT to patch it... and yes, it did get fixed, even with Stan hollaring at me "YOU BETTER GET A PICTURE OF THIS!"

The men and women at MODOT do a good job with a pretty small budget. Thanks guys! :-)

For the most part, we've dumped a trailer truck load of fireworks down into the bottom of the Pothole on KK in preparation for a pretty sweet display tonite. Unfortunately... call it poor planning, a rotten economy or just going crazy in the fireworks tent, we spent all our money on the "big ones" and didn't have any money left to buy fuse. So... here's the deal, we've got 10 seconds of 3 year old fuse down there in the Pothole, we've got a rickety wooden extension ladder going down there. If anyone feels fleet of foot enough to light that sonofagun off, we'll give 'em an official Pothole on KK bumper sticker if they make it up outta there before things start happening.

We need some personal restraint out here at The Pothole On KK. I know it's gotten quite large but it is NOT Lake of the Ozarks and definitely not Party Cove! Nearby neighbors are having trouble sleeping because all the loud music and the nakedness is just... it's just uncalled for. A picture from yesterday...
