What a weekend! We can’t thank everyone enough who helped make this years Pancake Breakfast such an amazing event. We raised nearly $6,000 and got to serve breakfast to over 1,100 of our amazing community members.
All of our proceeds go back into the community to support people in a time of need.

Special thanks to Boars Head, Trader Joe’s, Pete’s coffee, Pacer Propane, the great City of Redmond, and our friends over at the Fall City Fire department who let us borrow their dunk tank!

This past Wednesday your Redmond Firefighters Benevolent Fund, in partnership with Operation Warm, purchased and delivered 74 brand new winter coats for elementary school kids in need. Our on duty crews from L116, E117, A111, E111, M119, in addition to off-duty firefighters all visited three Redmond elementary schools for this event. In addition to delivering the new jackets, the kids got fire engine tours and got to meet the fire fighters and paramedics.

We look forward to this event each fall and are honored to put it on- it’s an absolute blast for the crews and kids! We have a similar event in the spring where the Benevolent Fund purchases and distributes new shoes to some of these same kiddos, creating positive experiences and using our public platform to help those in need. THANK YOU!!! Our final numbers are in and we were able to raise nearly $6,500 and had an estimated 2,000 people in attendance at our pancake feed- enough people in fact that we ran the event longer than we ever have before! We are so grateful for our community partners who helped donate food, equipment and time. We are also forever appreciative of our community members who came and supported us and our event. Every dollar donated to the Benevolent fund gets turned right back around and goes back to supporting community members in need. Thank you, Redmond, for your continued support. We are truly honored to be apart of such an amazing community.

We’re just 2 weeks out from the Derby Days annual pancake breakfast hosted by your Redmond Firefighters Benevolent fund! Come by Station 11, 8450 161st Ave Ne on Saturday the 15th 8am-12pm and enjoy a breakfast of Champions! We can’t wait to see you there!

Last week your Redmond Firefighters went to visit local elementary schools to deliver shoes to some kiddos thanks to the partnership with Operation Warm and the Redmond Firefighters Benevolent Fund through our annual Shoes for Spring Event. We got to share some stories, check out the rigs, see some tools/equipment, and spend some quality time with our new friends. This is one of the many ways that we thrive to be involved in our community and give back wherever we can. We hope to see you at our Derby Days pancake breakfast fundraiser event on July 9th and Station 11 from 8am-12pm!

Due to supply chain issues and increased food costs, we are still in dire need of vendors to help support this event by donating goods such as: pancake batter, eggs, sausage, fridge rental, and cutlery/plates. We are also accepting community support in the form of monetary donations to help fund this event.
