ABOUT US...

Shelter4Youth was founded in Central Oregon to provide warming shelters, food and compassion to LGBTQ youth who have no place to turn. Many of the shelters currently in existence will not take minors, many will take house members of the LGBTQ community and many simply have no available beds. With no available resources for children as young as 10 years, these children are forced to sleep rough in a climate that drops to -0 degrees in the winter.

Cait Boyce and Karen Rippberger recognized the problem and set a goal: to find accepting shelters for the 2018 Winter months with the goal of raising enough money to build a centrally located shelter for our homeless LGBTQ kids.
