Yesterday, SUHSD staff came together for our annual convocation — a celebration of the people who make our schools such special places to learn, grow and belong.

With renewed energy and a shared commitment to our students, we are ready to begin another great year together. We can’t wait to welcome our students back tomorrow!

As we prepare to welcome students back for a new school year, we're taking one last look back to celebrate the people who helped make the last one so special.

Our 2026 retirees have dedicated years — many of them decades — to supporting, inspiring, and empowering generations of students. In this video, they share what they'll miss most, the moments that meant the most to them, and the lasting impact their time at Sequoia Union High School District has had on their lives.

To our retirees: thank you for the care you've shown our students, the relationships you've built, and the legacy you've left across our schools. Your influence will continue to be felt for years to come.

Learning goes beyond the classroom at SUHSD.

Students from our continuation high school, Redwood High School, recently launched a boat they have spent the school year building as part of the school’s incredible maritime trades program. This week, students celebrated that milestone at the Port of Redwood City while also learning more about sailing, teamwork and life on the water alongside industry experts.

Next up: learning how to row.

Hands-on experiences like these help students build confidence, develop technical and collaborative skills, and connect learning to real-world opportunities and career pathways.
