Her favorite part? The pig's tail. "That tail! Oh my lord. His butt must get really tired."

Chickens, ducks, goats, rabbits, a pig and an alpaca! AgeUp brought the barnyard to Animals Up Close — a dementia-friendly event built especially for this community. 🐇

150+ people showed up. Residences sent buses. Caregivers and family members came too. Between quality time with the animals, live music and carnival games, nobody sat on the sidelines.

Camp AgeUp headed to Thomas Fogarty Winery to do something most people never get to try: blend their own wine. 🍷

Participants worked with the winemakers to build a blend around their own taste, with the Bay spread out below them the whole time.

Foods Around the World stopped in India. 🌏

Two chefs showed residents how to make pani puri, panchamritha and puliyogare from scratch — then everyone got to eat the results.

The best part of learning new recipes may very well be tasting them. 💡

Abby, a 16-year-old girl scout, interviewed long-term care residents about their lives, wrote their stories, and handed them back as keepsakes.

AgeUp connected her with local care residences. She brought the curiosity.

Her favorite part? Realizing everyone had a story nobody had thought to ask about.

"It was special that I got to learn about so many people's lifetimes."
