The Port of Redwood City recognizes September as National Preparedness Month.

FEMA Federal Emergency Management Agency designated the Port as the Federal Staging Area (FSA) for the South San Francisco Bay region. When roads, bridges and airports may be inaccessible, our facilities serve as the launch point for deploying first responders and critical supplies into the community.

We are proud to play this vital safety role in the region.
