The Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) has implemented its annual mandatory burn ban from May 1 through October 31, 2026, in 12 counties to reduce ozone and particle pollution. The ban prohibits open burning of wood, tree trimmings, brush, and construction debris.
