Arrest Made in Multiple Graffiti Incidents Throughout Reedley # # #
On August 27, 2026, the Reedley Police Department Investigations Unit made an arrest in connection with multiple graffiti incidents throughout Reedley associated with the name “P!nk.”, that defaced both public and private property throughout the City.
The graffiti was reported at 11 separate locations over the past week, with the total estimated public and private property damage exceeding $15,000.
The graffiti primarily consisted of a pink-colored skeleton wearing headphones, with the name “P!nk” written on or near the image. Additional graffiti at other locations consisted primarily of the name “P!nk” written in pink lettering, along with musical lyric symbols near the skeleton design.

As part of the investigation, a residential search warrant was executed on August 27, 2026 in the 300 block of E. Olsen Avenue in Reedley, in connection with the graffiti incidents. Following the search warrant, Investigators arrested a 17-year-old male juvenile as the primary suspect in this case. The juvenile was arrested for felony vandalism, in violation of California Penal Code § 594(a)(1), and transported to Fresno County Juvenile Hall.

Due to the suspect’s age, no additional identifying information will be released.
The Reedley Police Department would like to thank the community for its assistance and cooperation throughout the investigation. Property owners and community members who may have additional information, photographs, or surveillance footage related to these incidents are encouraged to contact the Reedley Police Department.

The Reedley Police Department is proud to recognize Sergeant Guillermo Garza on his graduation from the California POST Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute (SLI).
SLI is a highly respected leadership development program designed to challenge law enforcement supervisors to strengthen their leadership abilities, expand their professional perspective, and develop the skills necessary to lead effectively in today’s complex public safety environment.
Sergeant Garza’s completion of this program reflects his commitment to professional growth, leadership, and continued service to the Reedley Police Department and our community.

We’d like to take a moment to introduce you to the two familiar faces who will be helping keep our schools safe and our students supported this school year:

As the school year gets underway, we ask our community to help us keep those school zones safe. 🚸 Please slow down, stay alert, follow the designated drop-off procedures, and be patient with one another. The first few mornings can be a little hectic as everyone gets back into the routine!

Our SROs have been preparing for the year, and judging by their first-day signs, they’re pretty excited to be back! 👀😂

💙 A Small Hero with a Big Heart 💙

Sometimes, bravery comes in the smallest voices.

On May 25th, our Dispatch Center received a 911 call from an 8-year-old girl whose mother was experiencing a medical emergency. Despite what must have been a frightening situation, she remained calm and answered our dispatcher's questions, providing the information needed to get help to her mother as quickly as possible.

Thanks to the dispatcher's calm guidance and the young girl's courage, first responders were able to locate and assist her mother.

When she was later asked how she knew what to do, her simple response spoke volumes:

"I just did."

Those three words remind us that courage doesn't always come with experience—it often comes from the heart.

To recognize her incredible bravery, members of our department had the honor of presenting her with a special goody basket. While no child should ever have to face a situation like this, her quick thinking and courage made all the difference.

We are equally proud of our dispatcher, whose calm demeanor and thoughtful questions helped guide this young caller through an incredibly difficult moment. Every question asked played an important role in ensuring help arrived where it was needed.

Please join us in recognizing this remarkable young hero and the dedicated dispatcher who helped her through one of the scariest moments of her life. 💙👏

Community connection in action! 🤝☀️
The Reedley Police Department spent some quality time over at the Willow Grove apartment complex. We were thrilled to partner with the Sierra Kings Health Care District, who joined us on-site to help make this fantastic event happen!

The afternoon was filled with great food, shared laughs, and an epic water balloon fight with the kids to beat the summer heat! We love seeing our local law enforcement and community partners working together to build positive relationships and create lasting memories with our youth.
