Would like to thank Sarcoxie Rural Fire Protection District, Jasper fire Protection District, Carthage Fire Department, Stott City Fire Protection District, Deunweg Protection District and Miller Fire Department for their much needed help with a structure fire and a field fire with hay bale, would also like to thank a lot of Neighbors for their help also. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time it started as a structure fire it was not from open burning outside

The Avilla fire department is giving out candy for the tick or treaters Saturday Oct. 28th from 12 to 3.

The latest U.S. Drought Monitor, released this morning, shows that over 3% of Missouri had slipped into Exceptional Drought. Continue to avoid activities that could spark a fire!

The Missouri department of conservation will be teaching a hunters safety course September 23rd at Avilla school from 8am till noon. Ages 11 to 15 years of age. Books can be picked up at Avilla school until September 18th after that they can message Avilla fire department on page to get the books after that. These are work books and they would like to have them done and brought to the class
