Early voting for the upcoming Primary Runoff Election is just around the corner!
Now is a great time to make your voting plan.

Early Voting will be conducted at the Refugio County Elections Administration Office at 414 C North Alamo, Refugio, TX.

PLEASE BE ADVISED OF THE FOLLOWING

ELECTION RESULTS WILL BE RELEASED AND POSTED (2) TIMES ON ELECTION NIGHT:

THE FIRST POSTING WILL BE THE EARLY VOTING RESULTS AFTER POLLS HAVE CLOSED AT 7:00 P.M. ON ELECTION NIGHT. ANY BY MAIL BALLOTS RECEIVED BEFORE 7:00 P.M. WILL BE PROCESSED AND TABULATED BEFORE THE FIRST RELEASE.

THE SECOND POSTING WILL BE AT THE END OF THE NIGHT AFTER ALL (4) ELECTION DAY POLLING LOCATIONS HAVE BEEN PROCESSED AND TABULATED.

WHILE WE BELIEVE THAT RELEASING RESULTS IN A TIMELY MANNER IS IMPORTANT, THE REFUGIO COUNTY ELECTIONS ADMINISTRATION OFFICE DOES NOT STRIVE ON RELEASING QUICK RESULTS BUT RATHER THE ACCURACY OF THE RESULTS.

FACTORS THAT COULD DELAY THE RELEASE OF THE ELECTION NIGHT RESULTS:

• LATE BALLOTS RECEIVED AT OR BY 7:00 P.M. ON ELECTION NIGHT
• THE EARLY VOTING BALLOT BOARD MUST REVIEW AND QUALIFY LATE BALLOTS BEFORE THEY CAN BE TABULATED
• REVIEW OF WRITE-IN CANDIDATES FROM VOTED BALLOTS TO DETERMINE WHETHER THEY MAY BE COUNTED

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL RESULTS ARE UNOFFICIAL UNTIL CANVASSED.

BALLOT PROCESSING CONTINUES AFTER ELECTION DAY UNTIL ALL ELIGIBLE VOTES AND BALLOTS HAVE BEEN COUNTED.

FACTORS THAT POSSIBLY CHANGE THE UNOFFICIAL RESULTS MAY INCLUDE:

• BALLOTS BY MAIL POSTMARKED BY 7:00 P.M. ON ELECTION DAY THAT ARE ELIGIBLE TO BE COUNTED
• OVERSEAS AND MILITARY BALLOTS POSTMARKED BY 7:00 P.M. ON ELECTION DAY THAT ARE ELIGIBLE TO BE COUNTED

It’s a busy spring here at the Elections Office!
The countdown to the May 26th Runoff Election is on!

If no candidate received more than 50% of the vote in a party’s primary, the top two move on to a runoff election.

You can vote in the runoff if you are an eligible Texas voter who:
✅ voted in primary election and will vote in the same party’s primary
✅ OR you did not vote in either party’s primary or affiliate yourself with a party through signing a petition or participating in a party convention.
You may not vote in one party’s primary and then vote in the other party’s runoff.

Runoffs decide who makes it onto the general election ballot.

📬 Voter Registration Certificates Will Continue to be Mailed!

These cards confirm that you are registered to vote and show your registered address, precinct, and districts.

The new certificates are orange and are valid from January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2027. They replace the yellow voter registration certificates, which expired on December 31, 2025.

👉 What to do when you receive your card:

âś… Review all information for accuracy.
✏️Corrections, if necessary, may be made on the back of the card, signed and returned to our office.
🖊️ Sign the card and retain with your important documents if everything is correct.
