Reidland-Farley Fire District

The Community Fire Association was formed in 1955. It remained CFA until 1971, at that time Reidland-Farley Fire District was formed.

RFFD is staffed with volunteers that respond to fire, rescue, and medical emergencies.

Last night, Lt Draffen trained members on high angle rope rescue utilizing Ladder 32 as a high directional. Firefighters practiced setting up systems, patient packaging, and moving victims from lower to higher elevation.

New Engine 34 Responds to First 1st-Due Fire.

Yesterday evening at approximately 19:04 RFFD and Hendron Fire Department were dispatched to the 3000 block of Oaks road for a reported Structure Fire. Engine 34, Ladder 32, Engine 35, & Chief 301 responded along with HFD Engine 24, Engine 21 & Chief 201. Upon arrival Chief 301 reported a working fire in a detached garage that was beginning to threaten a nearby mobile home. Engine 34’s crew stretched 2 hand lines and quickly brought the fire under control without further extension. Units operated on scene for just over one hour before returning to service. As always, we’re proud to be able to serve the Reidland-Farley community.

This morning at 02:51 RFFD units were dispatched at the request of Symsonia Fire Department for a Residential Structure Fire in the Symsonia community. Chief 301 and Ladder 32 responded to assist. Upon arrival L-32 established a water supply and stretched 2 hand lines to aid in fire suppression. L-32 briefly utilized the aerial waterway to knock down a significant volume of fire in the attic prior to crews making an interior attack. The fire was declared under control and all searches were negative. RFFD operated on scene for approximately 3 hours. We’re always happy to assist our neighbors!

After years of planning and hard work, Engine 34 is officially in service! 🚒🚨

This morning, just after 3:00 am, RFFD and Hendron responded to the 1400 Block of Yarbro Lane for a residential structure fire. Upon arrival, Chief 302 relayed a working fire with fire showing from the rear on floor 2. Engine 35, first due, began fire attack while Ladder 32, arriving shortly after, initiated a primary search of the fire floor. Engine 34 and Hendron Firefighters worked to overhaul the building and ensure complete extinguishment. All searches were negative and the fire was extinguished without injury.

As always, we are proud to serve the citizens of Reidland and Farley.

Just after 11:00am RFFD crews responded to the 5800 block of Benton Road for a vehicle vs building. A single occupant was treated for minor injuries and patient care was transferred to Mercy Regional EMS, Paducah KY. Firefighters operated on scene for approximately 30 minutes before going in service.

WHAT A DAY!🚒🚨☀️

Thank you to everyone that attended the RFFD Open House yesterday! Firefighters had a great time showing everyone our second home and explaining the ins and outs of what we do. It was packed house of smiling faces, good conversation, and a lot of excitement. We LOVE our community and the support they continue to show us!
