The park was renamed in 2020 in honor of the long time state senator from Reidsville. 662 Acre State Park in the City Limits of Reidsville, Georgia. Park Amenities; Picnic Shelters, Restrooms, Splash Pad, Outdoor Exercise Area, Playgrounds, 12 Acre lake, Boat Rentals, Mini-Golf, Campground, Cottages, Basketball and Volleyball Courts, Group Shelter/Meeting Facility and 18 Hole Golf Course.

YOUR STATE PARKS DAY is a volunteer initiative aimed towards getting our loyal, amazing visitors involved in cleanup and restoration efforts around Georgia State Parks.

On Saturday, September 26, Jack Hill State Park invites our visitors to come out and join us for a trail cleanup from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. We offer FREE PARKING AND ENTRY ALL DAY for any volunteers. A daily pass is accepted at ALL state parks for the entirety of the day. (Historic sites not included).

We’d love for you to join us in making our park an even more beautiful, accessible space. We hope to see you there! (We will meet at the front office around 10:00 AM)

**CHILDRENS FISHING EVENT REMINDER**

Fishing supplies (bait/rods) will be provided, but we encourage you to call our park office ahead of time in order to ensure you and your party will be provided for. We cannot guarantee supplies for non-call visitors. Supplies are limited, and while you are welcome to bring your own bait and tackle, we wish to provide everyone with an equal experience. But, spots are running out, so give us a call if you wish! 912-557-7744.

Don’t forget about our FREE MOVIE NIGHT on August 21 at 7:00 PM at the group shelter. Concessions will be sold by our Friends Group! The film, about a robot stranded on a wild island, depicts themes of eco-friendliness and sustainability. We hope to see you there!

For our CHILDREN’S FISHING EVENT:

We can and will provide fishing gear, rods, tackle, etc. However, supplies are limited. You are welcome to bring your own bait and rods. While we will accept walk-ins, we encourage visitors to call ahead of time! The program will be first come first serve, so please keep that in mind if you intend to walk-in. To ensure a spot with guaranteed gear, call our park office at 912-557-7744 between 8:00 AM-5:00 PM daily!

Don’t forget about our CHILDREN’S FISHING EVENT on August 29th at 9:30 AM! Families with children 13 and under are welcome! Please contact our park office at 912-557-7744 with any questions. Children under 16 years of age DO NOT need a fishing license! If any adults or family members above the age of 16 wish to fish, a license is required.
