Probate Summit 2026 ⚖️💻

Great time in Atlanta collaborating with Probate Judges, Clerks, the Administrative Office of the Courts, the Slalom team and so many more behind Georgia’s new case management system.

Excited about the future of this program and what it will mean for the citizens we serve — improving efficiency, accessibility, and the overall experience within our courts.

⚖️🚨 Public Notice: Upcoming Probate Court Closures and System Upgrade 🚨⚖️

Over the past two years, the Georgia Judicial Council/Administrative Office of the Courts has been developing a new case management system designed to improve consistency, efficiency, and the overall administration of justice across the state.

To modernize and enhance court operations for both our staff and the citizens we serve, the Tattnall County Probate Court is pleased to announce that we will be implementing this new digital system in early June.

In preparation for this transition, the Administrative Office of the Courts invited probate judges and clerks from across Georgia to attend an in-person training event in Atlanta on May 5–6. Tattnall County Probate Court Judge Tara Finnerty and Chief Clerk Bridget Beecher participated alongside colleagues from other courts, gaining hands-on experience with the new system, participating in testing, and receiving important training.

To support a smooth implementation, the Tattnall County Probate Court will be closed to the public on Friday, May 29th, and Monday, June 1st, and will reopen for normal business on Tuesday, June 2nd.
We appreciate your understanding during this transition and look forward to providing an even higher level of service to the citizens of Tattnall County.

Earlier today, the Tattnall County Probate Court had the privilege of congratulating Herbert Talmadge Brown, Jr. on his appointment as Coroner.

Following the resignation of Coroner Brad Anderson, Judge Tara Finnerty appointed Herb to fill the position. Herb previously served as Deputy Coroner, bringing valuable experience and familiarity with the responsibilities of the office.

The appointment took place in front of the historic courthouse, a place that reflects the dedication of many who serve this community.

We appreciate Herb’s willingness to step into this role and wish him the very best as he begins this new responsibility.

Congratulations, Herb.
