The Township is looking to hire an individual for the road crew. This does include some overtime and on-call hours. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: performing construction and various asphalt repairs on Township roads, shoveling and plowing snow, salting streets, assisting in maintaining roadways and green spaces, monitoring of the water system, tree trimming, operating pickup truck, dump truck, backhoe/loader, mowers, chain saw and other equipment as assigned. Ability to legally operate motor vehicles, ability to work outdoors in all types of extreme weather conditions. The successful applicant will have a valid CDL or be willing and able to obtain one. Snow plow experience is important. Heavy equipment operation or construction experience is also a plus. Must be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and must have the ability to deal tactfully with the public and other employees. Minimum qualifications include High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience. Must have a valid PA Drivers License. Must be able to respond to the Township building for emergency calls within 30 minutes when on call. The burn ban has been lifted. The Township office will issue burn permits to you now.

New Update: Walnut Drive, Pine Crest Drive and Green Court will be having a fog seal placed on Thursday, July 16th. This will start about 6:30 am. Please do not park on the streets during this time.

Yellow Mountain and Forest Road will be closed from 7:00 am until 5:00 pm from Thursday, July 23rd through Friday July 24th. and most of the following week as well. Homeowners living on that road and campers at Camp Conquest will be able to get through during that time.

Those of you who have water provided to them by West Cocalico Township Authority have been sent a letter regarding the possibility of lead pipes within the water system. The Authority is very confident that there are almost no lead piping in the water system outside of private homes. This is an annual letter required to be sent by DEP to notify that it is a possibility.

The Authority is repairing a water leak on Route 897, near Blainsport Road. Those of you in the area of this leak may be experiencing very low water pressure. We hope to have regular water pressure restored to you later this afternoon. Thank you for your patience!
