A big THANK YOU to everyone who helped with, donated to, shopped at, and supported today’s garage sale!

We cleared out many items that had accumulated as the Family Center has grown and evolved over the past 25 years, while also raising funds to support the Center and our preschool program. We are grateful to have more room to organize, refresh our spaces, and prepare for a new school year and reinvigorated programs for our community this fall.

Due to the rain forecast for tomorrow, we have decided not to hold the second day of the sale. Thank you again for making today such a success!

Enrollment is still open for the Northland Area Family Center’s 3-Year-Old Preschool in Remer for the 2026–2027 school year!

Our preschool gives children a welcoming place to play, learn, explore, build friendships, and get comfortable with the routines of school. With hands-on, play-based learning and caring teachers, we focus on helping each child grow at their own pace while building a strong foundation for the years ahead.

Northland Family Center Preschool is a welcoming place where children can learn, play, make friends, and feel like they belong.

Summer can stretch the grocery budget for many families. If you have school-aged children, there are a few helpful programs available this summer to help with food support. ☀️

Minnesota SUN Bucks provides a one-time $120 food benefit per eligible child to help families buy groceries during the summer months when school is out. Benefits can be used anywhere EBT cards are accepted.

Families can also find free summer meals for kids through local Summer Food

Today we celebrate and honor moms in all the ways that role is lived out and carried every day. Moms, grandmas, stepmoms, foster moms, adoptive moms, birth moms, and all those who love, support, nurture, and care for others.

We also know today can feel hard for many for many different reasons. We want you to know we are thinking of you too and sending extra love and care to those carrying grief, loss, longing, or complicated emotions today.
