Summer can stretch the grocery budget for many families. If you have school-aged children, there are a few helpful programs available this summer to help with food support. ☀️

Minnesota SUN Bucks provides a one-time $120 food benefit per eligible child to help families buy groceries during the summer months when school is out. Benefits can be used anywhere EBT cards are accepted.

Families can also find free summer meals for kids through local Summer Food

Today we celebrate and honor moms in all the ways that role is lived out and carried every day. Moms, grandmas, stepmoms, foster moms, adoptive moms, birth moms, and all those who love, support, nurture, and care for others.

We also know today can feel hard for many for many different reasons. We want you to know we are thinking of you too and sending extra love and care to those carrying grief, loss, longing, or complicated emotions today.

We can help with things like paperwork, WIC, Child and Teen Checkups, diapers and baby supplies, and finding programs that support families.

Looking for a simple St. Patrick’s Day activity to do with your child?

Try a Green Hunt at home. Hide green items around the house and let your child search for them using a bucket or bag. This fun activity helps children practice color recognition, movement, and observation skills.

Did you know some families qualify for ParentChild+ at Northland?

ParentChild+ is an early learning program for families with children ages 18 months to 2½ years. Families receive home visits with books, toys, and simple activities that support learning and strengthen the parent-child connection.

Each week your child receives a free book or toy to keep.

We are excited to be joining Northland Community School for Preschool and Kindergarten Registration Night on March 10 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm in the NCS Commons.
