Harold J. Davis American Legion Post 247 Post 247 was founded in Jan 1946 in Remington, Virginia. Membership spans from WW II thru the Cold War, OEF and OIF. Supporting the community for 60+ yrs.

Remington American Legion Post 247 is part of 16th District, Department of Virginia American Legion. The Post was issued temporary Charter in Jan 1946 and our Permanent Charter 24 Jan 1947. Meetings are held the first Thursday of each month, starting at 1900 sharp. The post is supported by the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 247.

BANQUET TABLES & CHAIRS FOR SALE!
We have purchased new tables and chairs for our rental program, and so, we are offering our existing tables and chairs for sale.
There are 15 tables available and 100 chairs.
The tables and chairs are LIFETIME brand commercial grade. The tables are 96” (8ft) x 30” (2.5ft) and will seat 8 persons (4 per side) or 10 if you add a chair at each end.
The chairs are standard commercial folding chairs.
The tables and chairs are in good to very good condition, and all are operational.
We also have 5 tables with damaged undercarriage frames that are free. The damage prevents the legs from folding.

AVAILABILITY: Tables and chairs will be available for pickup only, once we have received the shipments of our new tables and chairs. (estimate during the month of June, 2026).

PRICING: Tables are $50 each, or $200 for 5 tables. There are 15 tables available.
Chairs are $25 each, or $200 for 10 chairs. There are 100 chairs available.

TERMS: Cash or check. No credit cards. Full amount due on pickup of merchandise.

A Northern Virginia-based nonprofit is set to provide free group therapy services at the Willing Warriors' veterans retreat in Haymarket.

Ten Ten Life, a faith-based organization in Herndon, will offer three-day intensive therapy retreats utilizing the Confessional Community group model developed by Falls Church psychiatrist Curt Thompson, according to a news release.

Honor Flight - Top of Virginia is dedicated to helping every Veteran visit their memorials in Washington D.C. Honor Flight - Top of Virginia is planning to expand its reach to the Culpeper area in 2026!

What is Honor Flight?

Honor Flight offers a completely FREE, one-day bus trip to Washington, D.C. Participants will visit the WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam War Memorials, and receive special front-row access to the Changing of the Guard ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery. All meals are provided.
We Need Your Interest to Make It Happen! To bring a dedicated bus to the Culpeper area, we need at least 25 Veterans who are interested in taking the flight.
