Each year, the Remsen Central School Community works together with the Foothills Rural Community Ministry to help the greater community during the Christmas season. Our Remsen students, staff, family, and community members did an amazing job giving again this year. Our Remsen Central School Community donated over 57 full boxes and bags of food! A special thank you to our team leaders; Mrs. Autumn Fasolino, Mrs. Mary Jane Keener, Mrs. Emily Laurey, Mrs. Pat Robinson, and to the Foothills Rural Community Ministry for all that they do to support our local communities. This is what the season is all about! Thank you to our amazing students, staff, parents, and community members!

Congratulations to Leila Ward for earning the opportunity to represent Remsen at Area All-State! To be considered for Area All-State, Leila had to perform a level 6 (the highest level) solo at last year's NYSSMA Solo Festival. A NYSSMA adjudicator evaluated her performance, assigned a rating, and gave comments. This evaluation along with a teacher recommendation went to the NYSSMA Zone 4 Area All-State selection committee. There were hundreds of submissions from Oneida, Herkimer and Oswego counties. Way to go, Leila!

They came up with three different recipes to make in class and then voted on which to submit for the challenge. They made a Creamy Stovetop Mac and Cheese, Pulled Pork Mac and Cheese and a Bacon Mac and Cheese. After voting as a class, they decided to submit the Pulled Pork Mac and Cheese but added the Bacon Crumb topping to it. We are awaiting the results.

The Remsen Sports Boosters Club coordinated all Pink Out events for our Remsen student-athletes. Thanks to our student athletes, coaches, the Remsen Sports Boosters, our spectators, and Cassandra Doolen for the "Pink Out" shirts, Remsen was able to donate over $1,200 to the Susan G.
