Big news for The Mobile Book Library!

We’re honored to share that we’ve been selected by the Mele Family Fund, at the Community Foundation, to participate in the Mele Family Fund Donation Challenge.

Here’s the challenge community members. Once we receive just 10 online donations, we will receive a $1,000 award. This opportunity is part of the amazing Mohawk Valley Gives campaign.

It only takes $5 to qualify as a donation. That small gift can make a big impact in helping this local nonprofit grow and continue its mission.

We Need Your Help!

The Mobile Book Library is bursting at the seams — literally! We’re beyond grateful to share that 95%of our overflow collection has been generously donated by YOU, our amazing community. The response to this literacy mission has been overwhelming in the best way.

Now we have a good problem: too many books and not enough shelves! If you have any bookshelves to donate or would like to contribute financially to help us store and organize this growing library, we would be incredibly thankful. Every little bit helps us keep spreading the joy of reading to kids and families in our area.

Are we overwhelmed? Yes, but mostly with gratitude. Thank you for believing in this cause and helping turn pages into possibilities.

I feel this author does not get enough recognition. Every book she’s written has been one of my favorites. If you are caring for someone with Alzheimer’s, or know someone who is, I advise you to read this. It is a beautiful story that helps others understand what it’s like for a patient struggling with this disease.

After battling the flu, an international travel adventure to Norway, and conquering the dreaded family stomach bug (seriously, we deserve a trophy), The Mobile Book Library is making its return to 16 Stone this Thursday, March 13th fro 5pm-8pm.

TMBL is headed in a new direction and setting up a more permanent location at the New Hartford Hospice Siegenthaler Center. One of our original goals was to bring books to readers who can’t make it to community events, and we’re finally making that happen!

This Thursday, we’ll be testing the waters to see if we can continue at both locations. So, if you want TMBL to stick around at 16 Stone, come out this Thursday, show some love, and grab a free book! Your support will help shape our next chapter!

Last raffle of the year!!! We will sell tickets starting at 6pm at 16 Stone Brewpub and announce the winner at 8pm. All proceeds go back into The Mobile Book Library. Help us raise funds so we can make our free mobile library more accessible to all in the community. We have several new book selections for you all.
