Library is excited to host upcoming events!
🧨 One of six traveling Freedom 250 Mobile Museums will be coming to Remsen! The mobile museum is housed in an 80 foot tractor trailer with expandable slide-outs that create interactive walk-through patriotic exhibits. It proudly highlights 250 years of American history! Museum will be in Remsen on June 4-5, 2026 in front of city hall and open from 10am-6pm both days! Museum is free of charge.
🍔The library will also be hosting a free Community luncheon celebrating our nation’s 250th birthday, the Freedom Truck and our Remsen Veterans! Luncheon will be at the library on Thursday, June 4, 2026 from 11am-1pm. Come for lunch and thank our Veterans!
🎇Kids…come in and pick up a patriotic coloring page to help us decorate the library and drop off before our big events!

Thank you to all who attended Library Chamber Coffee yesterday morning. Rolls, fruit, coffee and fellowship were enjoyed! Also thank you to those who were able to attend last evening’s fascinating and enlightening presentation. Our guest speaker explained circumstances as to why people found themselves having to live at a county poor farm. She also told us that each county in Iowa had their own poor farm.
