Happy to be a supplier and customer of the best grocer in northern Nevada! Great Basin Community Food Coop. Look for our garlic scapes this June and our garlic 🧄 through late summer!
Filling the GAPS - how we’re able to supply as much LOCAL produce as possible throughout the year ... even in Nevada. While it’s nearly the season for produce abundance ... we work throughout the year to actually plan in advance with farmers to ensure supply and coordinate crops as best we can. The co-op has 111 different crops from the following 23 farms this season: Avanzino Farms (Reno, NV), Basseri Berry (Bordertown, NV), Bridge 33 (Steamboat & Washoe Valley, NV), Cherry Dog Orchards (Fallon, NV), Desert Farming Initiative (Reno, NV), Earth & Seeds Farm (Reno, NV), Fisk Farm Herbs (Fallon, NV), Grow Up Farm (Bordertown, NV), Happy Mushroom (Reno, NV), Harris Market Garden (Golden Valley, NV - pictured above), Holley Family Farms (Dayton, NV), Jamason Farms (Battle Mountain, NV), Jim’s Garlic & Produce (Yerington, NV), Little Frog Farm (Reno, NV), Mewalt Organics (Fallon, NV), Mountain Mushrooms (Reno, NV), Nevada’s Own (Smith Valley, NV), Pioneer Farms (Fallon, NV), Prema Farm (Loyalton, CA), Reno Food Systems (Reno, NV), Ripcord Farm (Washoe Valley, NV), Sierra Valley Farm (Beckworth, CA), and Sterling Farms (Smith Valley, NV). These farmers deliver fresh and local produce once or twice a week for our shelves and our awesome produce team works diligently to keep it stocked! Let’s face it, the co-op is “where the harvest comes to town.”
