Care Flight Providing critical care level medical care during transport, Care Flight provides the same equipment, services and procedures found in an ICU or ER.

Care Flight, a service of REMSA Health, is a non-profit critical care air and ground ambulance and transport that serves the northern Nevada and northeastern California and the western United States region 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. 🚁 Care Flight is a Critical Care Transport air ambulance on stand-by 24 hours a day, seven days a week with experienced critical care flight nurses, specially tr

ained flight paramedics and skilled pilots to respond to the requests from public safety agencies, hospitals, physicians, or other health or public service organizations of Northern Nevada and North Eastern California. As a flying emergency room, we have the abilities to respond to critical patients within minutes of a request. Care Flight transports critical patients to major hospitals and assists local communities and emergency services in continuing to meet their local emergencies. We can assist you and your patient in receiving the need for a higher level of care and / or air medical transportation. Servicing our community, Care Flight has been providing critical care and transport as a non-profit, non-tax subsidized community service since 1981. Through the ongoing Hawk Fire response, REMSA Health and Care Flight are grateful to have the support of East Fork Fire Protection District , Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District, Sierra Regional EMS, Technical Medical LLC, Pyramid Lake Fire Rescue EMS, and Royal Ambulance by our side. Mutual aid means everything when it matters most.

On July 1, 1981, Care Flight completed it’s very first patient transport, beginning a legacy of care and service that continues today. What started as a collaborative effort between Washoe Medical Center (now Renown Regional Medical Center) and Saint Mary’s Hospital has grown into a regional critical care transport program serving communities across Nevada and Northern California.

Thank you to the employees, healthcare partners, first responders, and communities who have been part of this journey. Here’s to 45 years! 💙
