Cue the confetti... we have some grads to celebrate! 🎓🎉

Several of our staff recently earned their degrees, including several UNR School of Social Work graduates. Last week, some of our team had the joy of standing on the University of Nevada, Reno Quad, cheering them on as they walked across the graduation stage.

It was one of those moments that reminds us how much heart, dedication, and grit live inside this organization.

At Eddy House, our staff show up every day for young people in our community. They bring compassion, skill, patience, and hope into some of the hardest moments.

Today, Eddy House staff had the sweetest field trip across the street to visit our neighbors at Dorinda's Chocolates.

During our tour of their Reno headquarters, we learned that every Dorinda’s product is handcrafted by a small local team right here in our community. We toured the kitchen, learned about the chocolate tempering process, and tasted their summer seasonal Key Lime Pie Bonbon.

Dorinda’s has been a generous supporter of Eddy House, including their continued involvement with But First, Dessert, and today they surprised us with four huge bags of pretzels for our clients and staff to enjoy.

Their generosity is a beautiful example of what community collaboration looks like in action. Eddy House’s work is rooted in collaboration, kindness, dignity, hope, and grit, and partners like Dorinda’s help bring those values to life in real, tangible ways.

Thank you, Dorinda’s Chocolates, for welcoming our team, supporting local youth, and being such a sweet neighbor to Eddy House.
