If the Hawk Fire has displaced you, or you are couch surfing or otherwise without a safe place to stay, call us at (775) 384-1129 to begin the process of securing a bed.

Our shelves could use a little restock! 🧼🩴 We’re currently in need of travel-size body wash and shower slippers for the young people we serve.

We provided 8,924 showers in 2025 alone, and community donations help us keep these supplies available.

Both items are available on our Amazon Wish List, making it easy to send supplies directly to Eddy House.

The Emerson Bar is hosting its annual Drag Bingo fundraiser benefiting Eddy House this Thursday, August 13 at 7 pm.

🎟️ $10 donation at the door. No advance tickets required.

Seating is limited, and a full house is expected. Plan to arrive well before 7 pm to make sure you get a seat before bingo begins!

This community-hosted fundraiser is especially meaningful when we consider how disproportionately LGBTQ+ young people are affected by homelessness.

LGBTQ+ youth are 120% more likely to experience homelessness than their peers, and 40% of young people experiencing homelessness in the United States identify as LGBTQ+. Family rejection related to sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression remains one of the common drivers of housing loss for LGBTQ+ youth.

At Eddy House, our work is rooted in dignity, kindness, and the belief that every young person deserves safety, support, and the opportunity to build a stable future.

Our Workforce Development team keeps non-slip shoes on hand for homeless youth starting jobs in restaurants, kitchens, hospitality, and other workplaces where slip-resistant footwear is required. Right now, our supply is down to just four pairs.

We’re looking for 𝗡𝗘𝗪 black, non-slip work shoes in these sizes:

👟 Men’s: 9, 10, 11, 12
👟 Women’s: 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11

TredSafe slip-resistant shoes, typically available at Walmart are a great option, but any new black non-slip work shoe is welcome.

Donations can be dropped off at Eddy House Monday through Friday between 8 am and 5 pm.

We're hiring! 📣 Eddy House is looking for a licensed therapist to join our team and support young people ages 18 to 24 as they navigate homelessness, mental health challenges, and the path toward sustainable independence.

This is a full-time, in-person role in Reno for a compassionate, trauma-informed therapist who wants to do meaningful work with at-risk and homeless youth. You’ll provide counseling, crisis support, assessments, groups, and connection to resources, while working alongside a dedicated team that believes stability and independence are possible for every young person who walks through our doors.

For 15 years, Eddy House founder Lynette Eddy has helped young people feel heard, safe, and welcome. Her story is one of turning unimaginable loss into purpose, and using her own experiences to remind others that they belong, they matter, and they are capable of more than the critical voice inside their head might tell them.
