Rancho San Rafael Regional Park is one of the largest and most diverse urban parks in Northern Nevada. the park hosts miles of walking and biking trails, Herman's Pond (an urban fishery), the Wilbur D May Museum and Arboretum, the historic Main House, a disc golf course, extensive wetlands, downhill mountain biking trails, 3 playgrounds, 5 reservable picnic pavilions, ponds and creeks, individual

Effective Friday, August 28, 2026, Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District (TMFPD) has implemented Stage 2 fire restrictions on private and County lands due to extremely dry conditions and increased wildfire danger across the region. Burning of wood or charcoal is currently prohibited in County parks. Propane stoves & BBQ's are ok.

Garden Talks in the Rancho Community Garden are back for the season! Would you love to learn about gardening in Nevada from knowledgeable people while being surrounded by a beautiful garden?! Join University of Nevada, Reno Extension Master Gardeners at the Rancho Community Garden every third Thursday at 6pm May-September! First talk is tomorrow May 21st at 6pm, learn about the history of the garden as well as how to build a compost sifter. Hope to see you there!🍅🍏🥕🫛🌷
