Punam Mathur has spent decades using her leadership, voice, and influence to strengthen communities across Nevada. A longtime champion for children, education, and opportunity, her commitment to service has extended far beyond any single organization or role.
Throughout her career, Punam has helped shape corporate philanthropy and employee engagement, served in leadership roles with numerous nonprofit and civic organizations, and dedicated years to advancing meaningful change through the Elaine P. Wynn & Family Foundation. Her impact can also be seen in organizations and initiatives she helped bring to life, including co-founding Three Square Food Bank and Delivering with Dignity, as well as her longstanding service to organizations such as Communities In Schools of Nevada.
Punam's influence reaches across the nonprofit, business, philanthropic, and public sectors. She has been appointed to statewide leadership positions by four Nevada governors and continues to lend her experience to efforts focused on education, public policy, and the well-being of Nevada's families.
What makes Punam a true Sphere of Influence is not simply the number of organizations she has served, but her ability to bring people together, inspire action, and use her relationships and leadership to create opportunities for others. Her legacy is reflected in the people, organizations, and causes that are stronger because she chose to invest her time, talent, and influence in Nevada. For her extraordinary commitment to service and her lasting impact on our state, Nevada Volunteers is proud to recognize Punam Mathur as the 2026 Sphere of Influence Award recipient.
