Hello Rancho Haven Community. The Red Rock Volunteer Fire Department's annual BBQ has been postponed. We will combine the annual BBQ with the Harvest Festival on September 26th. Please let me know if you would like to help with this event. We are also looking for local vendors to be part of the fun.

We have 3 responders at this time. Please consider volunteering! We need additional EMS and Firefighters to join the team, training provided! We only have a few mandatory trainings a year and once on board you can respond as you are able, no set scheduled hours or station duty. If you would like to volunteer in other ways, we have lots of other support opportunities.

Yesterday your Red Rock Firefighters were recognized by the Board of Fire Commissioners and Truckee Meadows Fire for their firefighting efforts on the Rancho Fire. Red Rock Volunteer Fire Department was the first to arrive on scene and directly engage the fire and provide structure protection. Despite the fire burning nearly 1500 acres, no homes were lost.

Last night your Red Rock Firefighters responded to a reported first due structure fire. Smoke detectors played a critical role in alerting the residents. We would like to remind our community to please test your smoke detectors and ensure the batteries are changed on a biannual basis.

Highway 395 is closed in both directions near the bug station/inspection station. It will likely be closed for an extended period of time. (Please avoid the area.) Red Rock Road will be busy with rerouted traffic. Be safe.
