On Wednesday, Oct. 7, Nevada producers and agricultural professionals joined University of Nevada, Reno Extension for the Water and Irrigation Management Workshop for Nevada Producers at the UNR Experiment Station, 1000 Valley Road, Reno.

Morning presentations and discussions continued into afternoon field demonstrations covering ground and aerial approaches to moisture monitoring, forage production, and water management for vegetable crops. Participants brought questions and explored practical approaches for their operations.

To our speakers, including University faculty, and the University and Extension staff and partners who supported the workshop, thank you for your expertise, time, and effort in making the day a success.

Continue learning with us at the Certified Applicators Pesticide Safety Education Workshop on Tuesday, Oct. 27, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Pershing County Extension Office, 810 Sixth Street, Lovelock. Join morning classroom sessions and afternoon drone and insect scouting demonstrations. Attendance is free, with lunch and refreshments provided for in-person participants.

Join us for the first Extension Master Gardener Plant Sale in Incline in a long time!

University of Nevada, Reno @ Lake Tahoe Campus Demonstration Gardens will be having a plant sale!

Wednesday June 17th 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM in the gardens behind the Prim Library!

We will have perennial and annul flowers and some veggies and herbs too. All proceeds go towards re-establishing the Demonstration Garden.

Washoe County is going to begin looking at its code to address agritourism opportunities in the county. Agritourism takes many forms but may include farm stands, U-pick operations, tours, and workshops. This meeting is an opportunity for farmers, ranchers, small business owners, and members of the public to share ideas and provide feedback.
