We have the largest collection of Basque materials outside of the Basque Country. The focus of the Basque Library is to collect, preserve, and distribute information, regardless of format, on Basques outside of the Basque Country (the Basque diaspora), especially those in the US and other English-speaking countries. We serve as the window for English speakers to the Basque world. Our goal is to ga

ther and distribute everything published in English about the Basques. We also strive to offer the best-published works pertaining to any Basque topics in Basque, Spanish, and French. We work hand in hand with the Center for Basque Studies to support the Faculty, Graduate Students, and Undergraduate Students that are interested in Basque Studies. From the Basque Library to Gardnerville and across campus, it was a privilege to host representatives of the Basque Government this week. We spent time sharing our collections, talking through Basque community history, and looking at projects that connect past and present in really meaningful ways.
