What a weekend! At our Pop-Up Pantry event for August, we were able to provide groceries for over 845 people! In addition to food, we also gave away:
-2,000 articles of clothing
-1,500 pairs of socks
-300 toys
-300 miscellaneous household items

A huge “thank you!” to our volunteers and donors that help make events like this possible. We are so grateful for your support and heart for our community!

Missed this weekend? We offer bags of food at our warehouse (2115 Timber Way) every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00am-3:00pm.
Don’t forget to mark your calendars- our next Pop-Up Pantry event is set for Saturday, 9/26.

The Reno Housing Authority: Essex Manor Apartments had 136 units displaced from the fire. They were evacuated and without power, with residents finally able to return this week.
There are approximately 500 residents with 300 of these being youth. 87% of the units house youths. 17% of the residents are seniors and/or disabled.
We are truly so blessed we can help fill the need and show up for the community in tangible ways!

Our community has been hit hardly lately.
The Reno-Sparks Gospel Mission would like to share a list of current resources offered.
We are also organizing efforts to help provide Section 8 housing and apartments affected by the wildfires with food and bottled water.

Thank you to Legacy Christian Church Reno for helping us with our July Pop-Up Pantry!
We were able to provide groceries for over 700 people!

Our Pop-Up Pantry has helped provide much needed assistance in our community and demand continues to increase. We are always looking for donations of non-perishable food items. If you or your group would like to help collect/donate food, please contact Charlotte at 775-530-1383.

The Gospel Mission is just now starting to wrap up our annual "Christmas in July" event. It is an event that we hold every July 25th, to help make people aware that homelessness is happening 365 days a year, not just around the holidays.

It was quite the turnout as we put out around 300 meals all together. We also gave away hundreds of hygiene kits, socks, t-shirts, ball caps, water bottles and presents for the children.

Thank you to our volunteers, donors and staff who made it such a blessing to so many.
