From recovery to rebuilding a future!

After completing the Reno-Sparks Gospel Mission recovery program, one local resident came to Community Services Agency ready for a fresh start. Matthew was interested in pursuing employment and job training while rebuilding his life after more than a year without work.

With support for bus passes, uniforms, and training supplies, he took the next steps toward stability and success. Since enrolling, he has:

✅ Earned his EMT certification
✅ Obtained employment at Renown as an EKG Technician
✅ Begun firefighter training at TMCC
✅ Purchased a car and continued working toward permanent housing

Today, he’s on track toward a career in firefighting with valuable medical experience that also opens doors in healthcare. Stories like this are a reminder that with determination, support, and opportunity, lives can change. We’re proud to walk alongside our neighbors on their journey toward self-sufficiency and brighter futures.

Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten.

Calling all local contractors! CSADC is looking for additional contractor partners to help us reach more households in Northwestern Nevada through the Weatherization Assistance Program. We are specifically looking for:

🛠 Contractors serving Carson City, Churchill, Douglas, Lyon, and/or Storey Counties
🛠 Insulation installers
🛠 Window installers
🛠 Roofers
🛠 General home repair, restoration, or improvement contractors
🛠 Weatherization/energy efficiency specialists

We work with low-income families in single-family homes, manufactured housing, and multifamily residences to improve the efficiency of their homes and reduce their energy burden.
