Labor Day Holiday Hours:

As we approach Labor Day weekend, please note that Catholic Charities will be observing the holiday on Monday, September 7, 2026.

We will be OPEN to serve you at:
St. Vincent’s Thrift Stores & Donation Centers: Regular hours.
St. Vincent’s Dining Room: Serving lunch as usual from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM.

Please Note:
All other Catholic Charities programs will be CLOSED on Monday, September 7th.

This past weekend was a shining example of what can be achieved when we come together! We were able to provide dinner, snacks and drinks to the North Valleys Resource Center but needed help with transportation. A huge thanks to the The Salvation Army of Washoe County for delivering hot meals from the St. Vincent's Dining Room on Friday and Saturday, and to the American Red Cross of Nevada for bringing snacks and drinks from the St. Vincent's Food Pantry.

We're forever grateful to Chef Kim for cooking up love and to Q for loading up the goods.

Raise the Roof is back!

On Saturday, September 19, KBUL 981 on-air personality and longtime Catholic Charities supporter KBUL JJ CHRISTY will perch high above our food pantry—and he won’t come down until we raise $150,000 to help neighbors in need!

Join us from 11:30am–1:30pm for lunch, a tour of our newest St. Vincent's Food Pantry, a fashion show, raffle prizes, and plenty of cheering for JJ.

Adult lunch tickets are only $20 and kids 12 and under are only $10! The link to purchase tickets is in the first comment.

Emergency Housing Relief for Fire Impacted Families.

If your home was lost or made inaccessible by recent wildfires in Reno, you may qualify for free Airbnb.org temporary housing credits through United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra and Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada.

Requirements:
• 18+ with an Airbnb account
• Primary home rendered uninhabitable/inaccessible by the fires
• Facing financial hardship & in need of emergency

Temporary Housing Support for Hawk Fire Evacuees

United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra is partnering with Airbnb.org, a nonprofit dedicated to providing emergency housing during times of crisis, to help residents displaced by the Hawk Fire access free temporary housing.

How it works:

Partners identify residents who need emergency, temporary housing and connects them with Airbnb.org.

Airbnb.org provides eligible families with credits to book a temporary Airbnb stay that meets their needs.

Through this partnership, families can access a network of Airbnb listings and generous hosts in and around the impacted areas.

All eligible stays are free for guests and funded by Airbnb.org.

Live music is on the menu today! Join us at the St. Vincent's Dining Room (325 Valley Road) from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM for a free hot lunch and a live performance by the Reno Pops Orchestra.
