VARN -Volunteer Attorneys for Rural Nevadans Domestic Violence Victim’s Assistance Project (DVVAP)
Provides free civil legal services for domestic violence survivors, regardless of income.

Since 1996, VARN’s Pro Bono Project has recruited a panel of over 100 private and public volunteer attorneys to provide free legal services to low-income residents DVVAP serves domestic violence survivors in rural communities throughout northern and central Nevada. Rural Senior Law Project (RSLP)
In 2018, VARN added SRLP to its programs. This program offers free legal assistance to any Senior (60+

) who resides in Humboldt, Pershing, Lander, Churchill, and Mineral counties. You can apply by calling the VARN office at 775-883-8278

Pro Bono Services
VARN provides free (pro bono) civil legal services to individuals and families with certain types of civil (non-criminal) cases who are low-income and live in rural northern or central Nevada.

​Lawyer in the Lobby
VARN’s Lawyer in the Lobby project began in January 2010. The Lawyer in the Lobby will allow you to speak to an attorney for a limited time, at no cost, concerning your legal problem. The Lawyer in the Lobby is held five times each month

The UNR School of Medicine is holding a Rural Outreach Clinic on Saturday, June 6th, located at 3595 Hwy 50, Suite 1, Silver Springs, NV 89429, from 9AM-1PM. These clinics provide free medical services such as general physicals, sports physicals, laboratory services, breast exams, and more! Appointments can be made by referencing the number shown on the flyer below. Walk-ins are also welcome. Our last walk-in will be accepted any time before 12PM. We have translators present at every clinic.

We honor generations of service members from every background, including Native Americans, African Americans, immigrants, and all who answered the call and gave their all, united by a belief in freedom, opportunity, and the promise of a better future for all people.
Memorial Day is a moment for us, as a community, to recognize the people whose courage and sacrifice helped secure the freedoms and rights we enjoy today.
We honor their sacrifice by continuing to stand up for the values they believed in and gave everything for: fairness, justice, and dignity for everyone.
