Your first solo exhibition opportunity could start here.

The Clark County Public Arts is now accepting applications for SOLO SERIES FY27, a juried exhibition program supporting emerging and under-recognized artists in Nevada.

Four selected artists will each receive an eight-week solo exhibition at the Pearson Community Center Gallery between August 2026 and May 2027. Working alongside a curator, artists will develop, install, and present their work while gaining hands-on experience in exhibition planning, presentation, and community engagement.

This is a paid professional development opportunity. Each selected artist will receive $600, distributed across two milestones tied to installation, planning, and exhibition completion. Artists will also design and lead a public workshop connected to their work.

This opportunity is open to artists ages 18+ living in Clark County who have not yet had a solo exhibition. All visual art mediums are welcome, including painting, sculpture, textiles, photography, and mixed media. AI-generated work and replica prints are not eligible.

📍 Pearson Community Center Gallery, North Las Vegas
📅 Deadline: July 12, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. PST

An evening of music, legacy, and world-class jazz is coming to Nevada. 🎻🎶

Djangovegas Music Festival returns with a vibrant celebration of the legendary Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli, honoring the sound they created with the Quintette du Hot Club de France in the 1930s. Musicians from around the world gather to keep this “hot club-style” jazz tradition alive, bringing fresh energy to a timeless sound.

Set within Nevada’s growing arts landscape, this is more than a performance. It is a living tribute to improvisation, collaboration, and musical history.

Are you a folk artist or culture bearer in Nevada? 🤔

Your traditions, stories, and practices are what keep culture alive across Nevada.

The FY27 Folklife Artist Grant supports folk artists and culture bearers working to preserve and share traditional arts within their communities. This funding helps bring cultural knowledge forward through apprenticeships, mentorships, group learning, and cultural reclamation, or through public-facing work like exhibitions, performances, readings, concerts, and festivals rooted in tradition.

If your work carries history, identity, and community knowledge, this opportunity is here to support it.

Baylee Moon Spear is a multimedia artist whose work explores identity, storytelling, and the intersections of gender and lived experience. 🎨✨

At Intersections: The Nevada Creative Conference, Spear will join Intergenerational Mentorship in Rural Communities and Boards alongside Steve Dudrow, with contributor Carol Scott. This session explores how mentorship across generations strengthens nonprofit boards, supports sustainability, and builds a stronger future for the arts in rural communities.

Based in northern Nevada, Spear is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Nevada, Reno with an emphasis in printmaking and a minor in LGBTQ studies, building on an Associate of Arts degree from Western Nevada College.

Spear’s creative practice centers on themes of gender, sexuality, and identity, using art as a space for expression, reflection, and connection. Alongside studio work, Spear serves on the board of Wild Horse Children’s Theater, supporting access to quality theater education for young people.

We look forward to welcoming Baylee Moon Spear to Las Vegas May 27–29, 2026, for Intersections: The Nevada Creative Conference, a gathering rooted in mentorship, connection, and community impact.

On Memorial Day, we take time to honor and remember those whose service and sacrifice made possible the freedoms we share today.

In Nevada, these stories live on not only in our history, but in the ways we continue to preserve and reflect on them through the arts. From visual storytelling, public art, and oral histories to community-based projects, creativity helps keep memory present and meaningful.

The arts give us space to reflect, to understand, and to carry forward the legacy of those who served.

Today, we honor, remember, and reflect.
