💙 World Mental Health Day 💙
Today is a reminder that mental health matters, and that taking care of ourselves and one another is just as important as the care we provide to our community.
In EMS, our crews routinely encounter people on some of their most difficult days. The emotional demands of this profession aren’t always visible, and the impact doesn’t necessarily end when the call is over.
At Jasper County EMS, we’re committed to building a culture where mental health is a priority, conversations are encouraged, and our team knows that support is always available.
A special thank you to Kim at Bulldog Therapy for surprising our crews with a snack basket in recognition of World Mental Health Day! More importantly, thank you for your partnership, your commitment to the mental well-being of our first responders, and for always having our backs. 💙
As we continue building our mental health and employee support resources, we’re grateful to have someone in our corner who understands the unique challenges of emergency services.
To our fellow first responders and our community: Check on each other. Take care of yourselves. And remember, asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
