Arts Impact, and independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is a comprehensive professional development arts program for classroom teachers. What We Do

Arts Impact brings high quality arts education experiences to students by training classroom teachers to use the arts in their day-to-day teaching. Through a two-year program, Arts Impact offers classes, workshops and mentorships, training teachers to bring

dance, music, media arts, theater and visual arts into their classrooms and their core curriculum. All Arts Impact programs align with the Washington State Academic Learning Standards in the Arts and other core subjects.

This year, Arts Impact partnered with to build student skills in the classroom and extend math and STEM learning to families beyond the classroom through take-home activities like the one pictured here. As we approach the end of the year, we're proud to share that students participating in Creative Impact have met 80% or more of the grade-level STEAM criteria in Creative Impact lessons! Way to go!

Learn how to make your own jewelry with paper beads! Participants will explore how to create a variety of bead shapes by experimenting with different ways of cutting and rolling paper. Come explore the magic of hand-printing through the collagraph printing process with Erika Bass and Sara Porter. Using lightweight cardboard, we will cut and glue shaped surfaces which we will print. These prints can then be enhanced with water-based paints to create rich, expressive, one-of-a-kind artworks. Register for FLOURISH on 4.23.26 at https://bit.ly/26flourish

Explore your Active Imagination with Dez'Mon Omega Fair: Somatic Response is a freeform mix of breathwork, somatics, movement and performance art methods, employed to ease the nervous system, deepen personal embodiment and collective empathy, encouraging social-emotional skills; described simply as just, 'Adults laughing and sighing and panting and singing and resting and wiggling and jumping and convulsing and sitting, then running, then skipping and cartwheeling in circles and squares and talking about it" Register for FLOURISH on 4.23.26 at https://bit.ly/26flourish

Come create tiny collages with acclaimed Northwest painter and mixed media artist Diane Culhane! We will discover fun textures, colors and patterns in cut and torn papers and photographs, then glue them down to make an imaginative background for simple drawing. Next we'll paint gesso in the spaces in between the lines to tell a simple story of a flower, a bicycle, a house, a dream.
