Touch A Career is on May 9th at the Museum of Flight this year!

Renton School District is hosting a Touch-A-Career event to connect our youngest learners to the wonderful hands-on learning programs they’ll experience as they enter our elementary, middle, and high schools.

Touch-A-Career fair:
• Saturday, May 9, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• at the Museum of Flight, 9404 East Marginal Way, Seattle.
As a bonus: families and students attending our event get free admission into the Museum for the day.

The career fair is open to all families with preschool to 5th-grade students who will experience hands-on activities to help them imagine themselves in a future career. Renton teachers, students, and community members will present a variety of activities showcasing our Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes with pathways to college and career, like
• Culinary Arts,
• Robotics,
• Engineering,
• Construction,
• Health Care,
• Business Marketing,
• and more.

Hello Families! May 5 - 8th is Teacher Staff Appreciation Week!! Help us show some love to our Meadow Crest Teachers and Staff 👩‍🏫. Parents can sign up to donate any baked goods, treats or sweets on Thursday, May 7th. Please bring your goodies from 10am - 11:30am and try to include the ingredients (especially with nuts!). Trunk or treat will happen rain or shine, but hopefully less rain than today. We will have tents and games will be under cover. The gym and lobby restrooms will also be available. If you are decorating a trunk and have a pop up tent please bring it. We will try to have as many cars as we can covered.

Ballots and district mailer in homes this week!

Renton School District has two important school funding replacement measures before voters on their November 4, 2025 election ballot. These measures work together to continue funding school programs, technology, school staff, and building maintenance for schools across the district. Voters are asked to consider continued funding of two measures:

Measure 1: Educational Programs and Operations Replacement levy and
Measure 2: Technology & Capital Replacement levy.

Neither of these measures are a new tax. Both replace measures continuously approved by voters that will expire in 2026. Voter approval will continue these important local school funding measures through 2030.

Funding collected from these local voter-approved education measures stays right here in our schools and supports student learning, sports and athletics, teachers training, school maintenance, classroom technology, and more.
