We have until the end of June to purchase everything needed for our upcoming Fourth of July Event. We still have several items remaining on our wish list and would greatly appreciate any support.

IFC and IAC has been advised that a statewide directive has been issued concerning potential program modifications due to ongoing budgetary concerns affecting the State of California. This directive will not impact the visiting program. We are still gathering additional information regarding the directive and will make sure to keep you informed about any impacts it may have on daily operations.

There will be no visiting Friday June 26th, 2026 due to mandatory statewide training.

Dear Families, Friends, and Loved Ones of Folsom State Prison (OLD)

It is time to begin planning our holiday menus for November and December. We would like your input to help your IFC representatives advocate for the most popular food items.

Please keep in mind that while we aim to include requested items, not all suggestions can be approved or included in the final menu. When we present our proposal to the Family Visiting Coordinator, we will prioritize the options requested by the majority of families.

Reminder that Saturday, June 6th is the Get on the Bus event for Old Folsom. There will be no visits for anyone other than those who were signed up and approved for the event.

VSA will also be blocked off.

For those attending the event, please do not forget to bring all vital documents for minors that day.

Effective June 1, 2026, the incarcerated population will be allowed to bring either gray shorts or gray sweatpants to wear during family visits to promote comfort and a more relaxed environment for family bonding :). Please note that only one item may be brought in — either shorts or sweats, not both.

Additionally, we have new non-stick frying pans going into the units. We will also be receiving tongs and potato peelers soon. We will be requesting additional items, so please hang tight.
