We hosted a 🌼 Garden Party 🌼 to celebrate our achievements and update our partners on the status of the building project. Food was purchased from local businesses and a dessert auction was held to raise money for the Summer Learning Progam at the library. The party favor was a packet of sunflower seeds to help "grow a library".

We want to thank all of our partners and donors who have supported this project. This dream began in 2021 and we are making it a reality.

We would like to extend a big THANK YOU to our fellow Library and community lovers, Friends of the Curlew Library! They wrote a lovely letter of support in this week's paper that touched our hearts. We are so proud to be a part of such a supportive community. ❤️

If you can't snag a copy of the paper this week, you can read the letter below

On behalf of the Friends of the Curlew Library, we would like to extend our warmest congratulations to the Friends of the Republic Library for their incredible success in securing funding for the new library and early learning center.

Seeing this vision move toward reality is an inspiration to all of us in Ferry County. This project represents more than just a new building; it is a profound investment in our collective future. By combining traditional library resources with a dedicated early learning center, the Republic team is ensuring that our children and neighbors will have access to vital educational tools for generations to come.

As fellow advocates for literacy and community spaces, we know exactly how much "behind-the-scenes" heart, sweat, and persistence it takes to reach a milestone of this magnitude. To our colleagues in Republic: we see your hard work, we admire your vision, and we are celebrating right alongside you.

This new facility will undoubtedly be a cornerstone of growth for the entire county. We look forward to the day the doors swing open!

Sincerely,

The Friends of the Curlew Library

We are excited to announce the winners and final design for the 2026 Ferry Conservation Fair Poster Contest! This year, the winners are Allie Burbank and Noah Gabriel. Allie created a stunning background that accurately represents Curlew Lake and the trestle bridge. Noah illustrated a hand holding a flower with incredible detail. Together, their designs beautifully combine to create a poster that truly symbolizes Ferry County.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who submitted their artwork. This year was particularly challenging when it came to selecting a winner, as there were numerous wonderful pieces submitted.
