The Sheriffs Office is the after hours number for the PUD. You do NOT need to contact us to report this outage.

Structure Fire in Republic

On 04/13/2026 at approximately 2300 the Ferry County Sheriffs Office, Ferry County EMS District #1, and Ferry / Okanogan Fire Protection District 13 responded to an active structure fire on Lower Jefferson Avenue in the City of Republic.

Upon arriving on scene Deputy Lopez, EMT Dreyer and Firefighter Burt discovered the residential structure was partially engulfed with flames and was still occupied by the homeowner who had become stuck on the porch.

The first responders immediately acted and the homeowner was dragged to safety where the flames were then extinguished from his body.

The homeowner was transported to the Ferry County Hospital.

The origin of the fire is still under investigation.
