⚠️ UPDATE: Gremlin Cove Access Channel & Lake Levels
The USACE Harlan County Lake team is temporarily opening the Gremlin Cove boater access channel from Friday, August 14th at 5:00 p.m. until dark on Sunday, August 16th.

πŸ›‘ Crucial Safety & Depth Warning:
β€’ Minimum Channel Depth: The minimum depth in areas that have not yet been dredged is 3 feet, 6 inches (3’6”).
β€’ Stay in the Channel & follow the buoys.
β€’ Navigate with Caution: Please proceed at slow, no-wake speeds and stay close to the buoys when entering and exiting the channel.
For public and crew safety, the channel will close indefinitely starting Monday, August 17th to allow crews to safely conduct ongoing dredging operations. The channel will remain closed during the week, and we will evaluate conditions on a week-by-week basis to determine if future weekend openings are possible.

πŸ’§ Current Lake Conditions
β€’ The lake has dropped 4 feet since its late-June high (from 1937.82 down to 1933.82).
β€’ Inflows are less than 1 cubic foot per second from the Republican River, and future water levels remain highly uncertain.

🚜 Operations & Alternative Ramps
Dredging crews will continue working in Gremlin Cove during the week to improve and maximize access. As a reminder, the boat ramps at Cedar Point and Patterson Harbor remain fully open for use.
Thank you for your continued patience, cooperation, and understanding as we work to keep our community safe and on the water.
