As part of an exciting refresh of the Mark Taper Building, residents on the second floor have temporarily relocated to the third floor while their space is upgraded. This project will unfold in phases: once the second floor's refresh is complete, those residents will move back into their updated rooms, and our attention will turn to the first floor.

This renovation sets the stage for construction of our new inpatient psychiatric unit, made possible by a $28 million grant awarded to LAJH through California's Behavioral Health Continuum Infrastructure Program. This expansion will significantly grow our capacity for the kind of specialized, compassionate care the Auerbach Geriatric Psychiatry Unit is known for, especially at a time when the need for senior mental health services across California continues to grow.
