Thank you 🤝Nova Labs for this much-needed donation to keep our county employees safe while they assist our most vulnerable residents! #HunterMill #Community #Heroes

We just completed our biggest donation yet! 1,500 shield! We delivered 1,100 more #faceshields to Fairfax County Government for a total of 1,500! Plus, we had to throw in 300 #earsavers from Artisan Matchmaker because everyone loves those! This donation will go to #Covid19 testing operations and people on the front lines at county clinics that provide care for underserved communities in Fairfax County, Virginia. Great work #makers!

The county's Stuff the Bus food drive has served as a biannual effort to fill the shelves of local nonprofits’ food pantries. Because of the extraordinary events taking place due to the pandemic, the demand for food has surged, so Stuff the Bus is again stepping up to feed hungry people. The donations from this month's drive will benefit 11 nonprofits in Fairfax County.

On Saturday, May 16 and Tuesday, May 19, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Fastran buses will be parked at these Hunter Mill District locations, as well as many more locations countywide for you to drop off your food donations. Please help if you can!

Our world changed drastically with the arrival of COVID-19. It's heartbreaking to see what this pandemic has done to our community, small businesses and nonprofits. My budget statements reflect our current reality with my strong belief that we will recover. At north point village shopping center today !
Are you aware of the swastika signs and the anti-Semitic texts spray-painted on the sidewalks at North Point shopping center? This is extremely upsetting and literallly in our backyards!!
Dear Supervisor Alcorn ~ Many jurisdictions around the country and in the DMV are passing legislation designed to help small businesses keep their doors open and recover after the current crisis fades. I have not heard anything from Fairfax County - their plans to help this critical part of our social and economic infrastructure. Let’s be clear - loans really don’t help most service industry businesses. When I am able to re-open my coffeehouse, my customers will return. But they won’t return and purchase extra to help pay off a loan. However, a grant would allow me to keep my staff employed, keep my doors open, continue to provide much needed support to my local community and enable me to be ready, when the time is right, to re-open my coffeehouse to the public. I hope that the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors is seriously considering solutions like grants - and that they considering them now. While there is still time to save hundreds of small businesses. Sincerely, Michael Amouri Owner Caffe Amouri
