Madison County detectives, working alongside several local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, executed multiple residential search warrants as part of a years-long investigation into drug trafficking in Madison County and throughout Eastern Idaho.

As a result of these warrants, detectives seized a large quantity of illegal drugs, fi****ms, and vehicles. Items recovered included:

• More than 1,600 THC cartridges containing over 6 pounds of THC
• 79 grams of psilocybin mushrooms
• 2.8 pounds of raw ma*****na
• 180 grams of THC wax
• 56 grams of THC honey
• 81 grams of THC edibles
• 6 grams of he**in
• 11 Fi****ms

This operation is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the investigators and partner agencies involved. By working together, we continue to disrupt the flow of illegal drugs into our communities and hold those responsible accountable.

Our detectives will continue working closely with our law enforcement partners to identify, investigate, and hold accountable those who bring illegal narcotics into our community.

The investigation remains ongoing, and we hope to provide additional updates in the near future.

We would like to thank our partner agencies for their assistance throughout this investigation:

• Rexburg Police Department
• Fremont County Sheriff’s Office
• Idaho Falls Police Department
• Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office
• Idaho State Police
• Homeland Security Investigations
• United States Postal Inspection Service

Thank you to everyone involved for their commitment to keeping Madison County safe.

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend. It’s is a time to reflect on the sacrifice, courage, and devotion of those who never made it home.

From the beaches of Normandy to battlefields across the world, generations of American service members have fought to protect the freedoms we enjoy every day. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office extends our deepest gratitude to all who have served and especially to the families carrying the weight of that sacrifice today.

May we always remember the fallen, honor their legacy, and never take our freedoms for granted.

🇺🇸 We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

Last night Madison Patrol and Dispatch had the opportunity to meet with members of Air Idaho Rescue at our Search and Rescue building in Sugar City!

Deputies and dispatchers spent time discussing landing zone setup, patient loading procedures, and the important information that needs to be communicated between dispatch and air medical crews during emergency situations.

We appreciate the partnership and training opportunities that help all of us work together more effectively to serve and protect our community!

In January of this year, School Resource Officers in Sugar City received a report that a juvenile had been hospitalized following a drug overdose that occurred outside of school hours.

Those deputies, working alongside Madison County detectives, immediately began investigating how the juvenile obtained the drugs and worked to identify and locate the individual responsible for distributing them.

Last week, following a thorough investigation, School Resource Officers arrested the suspected drug dealer.

The deputies assigned to our schools take their responsibility to protect students very seriously, both on campus and within the community. Their commitment to the safety and well-being of our youth extends far beyond the school day.
