We're as grateful as you are that the fires in Madison County are contained-----However, we want to encourage our citizens that will be out enjoying the surrounding areas of Heise including E 10000 S to South Snake River Road and Heise Road have partial closures in place and are in pending. This is due to potential road wash of debris should the weather shift to projected rain as our local weather experts are predicting. These conditions have a high potential for hazardous situations and it is our goal to keep you safe and informed....and maybe entertained if you're old enough to know who this guy is..... 😜

Motorists can expect to see ITD and Madison County crews working to place barricades and advanced warning signs on US-20 and 7th East. They will cut away and remove asphalt from the US-20 center median through the week of July 27. Barriers will remain while work to create turnarounds on both sides of 7th East continues through the fall. US-20 traffic will not be affected as this work occurs.
