8/30/26 Box 6-B working structure fire. While crews were operating on Box 6-D, Jefferson County 911 advised command 6 of a call they were processing for a working structure fire within our first due. Initial reports indicated that the porch was on fire with animals inside the residence. Squad 8 arrived on scene and confirmed a working porch fire with extension to the residence. Chief 8 struck a second alarm bringing mutual aid companies from Jefferson and Clearfield Counties. All occupants including animals made it out safely. PSP was able to rescue the animals before crews arrived on scene.
Fire crews were able to stop the fire with minimal extension into the house. We would like to extend a huge thank you to our mutual aid companies that assisted us today. We appreciate it greatly! Also thank you to station 2 for providing standby for Reynoldsville Borough and Winslow Township while we operated on these incidents.
