A great 2nd Quarter 2026 for the Glass4Good Program! ♻️

A huge thank you to O-I for your continued partnership and commitment to keeping our communities clean while supporting our local economy.

According to Q1 & Q2 newsletters, a total of 83 tons of glass have been collected so far this year. What an incredible achievement—great job, everyone! 👏

Recycling glass does more than reduce waste—it helps conserve energy, protect our natural resources, and create healthier, more sustainable communities.

Jefferson County should be proud of the positive impact these recycling efforts continue to make. The county-wide drop-off recycling sites provide convenient glass recycling containers for all Jefferson County residents, making it easy to recycle glass close to home.

Thank you for doing your part to keep Jefferson County clean and beautiful. Together, we're making a difference! 🌍💚

THE RESULTS ARE IN!!!♻️
A huge thank you to our county residents for making the May 2nd Electronics and Household Hazardous Waste Collection a tremendous success!

Despite the chilly May morning, **123 registered participants** showed up to do their part in keeping our communities clean and environmentally responsible.

Thanks to your participation and commitment to proper disposal, a total of **7.24 tons** of electronics and household hazardous waste was collected and safely disposed of. We were also proud to welcome residents from **26 townships and boroughs** across the county.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Goodwill Industries for providing volunteers and generously hosting the event at their location. Their partnership and support were instrumental in making this collection day possible.

A special thank you also goes to Noble Environmental and their team for serving as our vendor and helping ensure the safe, efficient, and proper handling of all materials collected.

This event was a true community effort, and its success would not have been possible without the support of our residents, volunteers, partners, and vendors. Thank you all for helping protect our environment and making a positive impact throughout Jefferson County!

🚫 REMINDER: Window glass is NOT recyclable at any Jefferson County Solid Waste Authority Drop-off Recycling Site.

Please do not place window glass, mirrors, glass tabletops, or other plate glass in the recycling containers. These materials are different from glass bottles and jars and can contaminate recyclable materials and create safety hazards for workers.

Help keep our recycling program safe and effective by disposing of window glass through the appropriate waste disposal methods.
