Even with all the destruction and construction on the property, Ray and Martha Cunningham went out and made our monument beautiful again.

Now, the next thing we need to do is go out and change the flag. We can do that at the next workday after the meeting on Saturday, Sept 12th. I'll see you then.

Today was our annual Family Day Picnic and raffle drawing! We usually go live to announce the winners of our 10 raffle items, but cell service at Reynlow Park in Reynoldsville, PA, had other plans. After our live feed dropped, we decided to share the winning ticket numbers below instead. Winners will be contacted soon by a member of our board. Thank you to everyone who donated to the basket raffle, including Vortex Optics for donating a scope and rangefinder and StopBox USA for donating a StopBox PRO. Michael Gensburger Sr. and his daughter Toni Gensburger are manning the table at the Brush Valley Tractor Show near Indiana, Pa. They are trying to sell the last of the raffle tickets that we are drawing tomorrow afternoon. Come buy some you might be 1 of the 10 winners, you get 3 chances for $20. We only printed 3000 tickets so only 1000 people will be able to purchase them.

Reminding everyone of our annual MVO Family Day/Raffle Drawing is tomorrow Sunday, August 9th starting around 11 AM Pavillion 1. If you would like to earn a work day, we could use help setting up and taking down starting around 9:00 AM. If you haven't signed up yet its not too late! Also, if you plan to bring any children please let me, Martha Cunningham, know so that we can provide a few activities for them to enjoy. Mojo, Martha's little therapy dog, will also be joining us. Please bring your favorite dish for everyone to enjoy. One thing that we do need is additional water bottles. We have only one person signed up to bring water bottles. Please be prepared to take any beverages home with you that you donate i.e. soft drinks or waters etc., we have no way to store them safely. MVO will be providing hot dogs, burgers, and NY Strip steaks cooked by our Grill Master Tim Braunns. You are welcome to bring your own beer. Looking forward to seeing everyone on Family Day!

The Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) releases the first episode of its new podcast, the Front Line, July 15. Streaming monthly on Spotify, YouTube, Amazon Music, Apple Podcasts, iHeartRadio and the DMVA website, the information covered will center around Pennsylvania veterans, benefits available to them and other pertinent information.
The Front Line's inaugural episode features Maj. Gen. John Pippy, Pennsylvania's 55th adjutant general and head of DMVA.

The contractors are working on the property and they have spotters on Moore Road helping the 18 wheelers navigate some of the difficult areas. When you are out there you NEED to obey their directions for your own safety.
